OUR HISTORY

The First Haitian Baptist Church of Boston was founded in October 1969 by a small group of Haitian brothers and sisters who were looking for a place to worship, learn the word of God, build a more intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and spread his Gospel. They were joined  later by Rev. Dr. Verdieu Laroche as the pastor of the church.  The current building, located at 397 Blue Hill Ave in the city of Dorchester, is a historic synagogue once owned by a Jewish community called "Congregation Adath Jeshurun" and later bought in 1978 by the members of FHBC.  We are a church of mixed languages such as English, Haitian Creole, and French.
